Started in September 2011, Name Curator is a project of Ben Osborne.
I scour the web, media, popular culture and any other sources to find names that make you take in your breath and say ‘that’s a great name’. I also make sure they’re verifiable – real people with real names.
That translates into 15 great names a week, or 3 names each business day, delivered straight to your Twitter (and later archived here).
Also part of the service: q-and-as with those people with the great names themselves. As far as I can tell, it’s a service you won’t find on any other name service.
Sure, it’s relatively straightforward to find these names – but talking to the people concerned gives it an extra human dimension. What’s it like to have a great name? Where did your name came from? I like hearing the answers our Great Namees provide to these and other questions.
Submit your great names via Name Curator’s Twitter feed, or leave them as a comment here.
